Objects, spatial projects

Marianne Skarbøvik Studio works through an object-based, iterative process.

Work develops over time through recurring impulses, in which forms, details, and ideas are revisited, shifted, and refined rather than resolved. Projects accumulate, allowing objects and spatial elements to inform one another across contexts and scales.

Approaching spatial design from a product design perspective, furniture and custom-built elements are used to shape rooms, interiors and environments.

The same object-based approach applies across bespoke spatial projects and product development for production.

Ritual, intention and repeated use guide the work.

Marianne Skarbøvik is a product designer educated at The Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO). She has extensive experience from studio-based practice, including Anderssen & Voll, and works independently through Marianne Skarbøvik Studio.
